Another huge summer beauty craze was colour block eye makeup,this ranged from contrasting colour pairs, to a striking purple or red lip.This was such a popular look that even our own All Out Beauty girls embraced the colourful trend. Glitter-artists could be seen sporting sunset pink eyeshadow,as well as vivid green, blue and orange shades. One festivalista was seen rocking a teal glitter eyeliner, which lit up the park when paired with her bold red lip.
Our expert brands were on hand to help festivalgoers create makeup looks centered around soft, subtle sparkle and bold, bright colour. One of our favourite looks was from Wunder2; their artists provided a choice between a rosy pink or marine blue makeover, which included a delicate layer of sequins and glitter, evoking a fairy-like feel.
Festivalgoers were adventurous with their glitter this year, with colour combos like an ocean-inspired silver and blue, and a cleverly clashing pink and red. Over at the BeautyBay container glitter was painted in a crescent shape around the eye to frame the face, which when paired with bright blended eyeshadow looks, had our guests shimmering in the sun.
We couldn’t get enough of the unique painted looks that stylists created using L’Oréal Colorista washout colour. Each look took into account the guest’s natural hair colour, resulting in some beautiful shade pairings: our favourites were a trio of violet, pink and blonde, a rose-gold tinted look, and a heavenly combination of pink and blue. Another hit trend,following on from the Coachella craze, was braids. Two of the most popular styles were a pink tinted halo-braid, and the braided space bun look, which gave guests a touch of alien glamour.
